The 60kw water-cooled hydrogen fuel cell system engine consists of multiple hydrogen fuel cell stacks, each of which contains multiple hydrogen fuel cell units. Each unit consists of a cathode, an anode, and an electrolyte layer. In the electrolyte layer, hydrogen and oxygen undergo an electrochemical reaction to produce water and electrons. These electrons flow through an external circuit to provide the required electrical energy for the engine.

Water cooled hydrogen fuel cell systems are more complex in principle and much more expensive than air-cooled systems. But it is precisely because of the participation of water with ultra-high specific heat capacity that there has been a qualitative improvement in overall performance. On the one hand, it has higher power generation efficiency, and due to temperature stability, the power generation stability is more excellent. Another important aspect is that the damage caused by heat to the battery system is greatly alleviated in the water cooling system, resulting in a more than tenfold extension of the lifespan of the water cooling system. It can be said that besides high cost and weight, water-cooled systems are far superior to air-cooled systems in other aspects.
