In hydrogen fuel cells,electrode plates play a crucial role. Firstly, the electrode plate directly affects the progress of electrochemical reactions by transferring electrons and promoting ion transport. Specifically, hydrogen gas is decomposed into hydrogen ions and electrons at the anode (negative   electrode). Hydrogen ions reach the cathode through the electrolyte, while electrons cannot pass through the electrolyte and can only form current through external circuits.

In addition, the electrode plate also serves to separate the gas, provide a reaction interface, and conduct current.
