With our unique Titanium Fiber Felt Coating platinum supply, we have significantly increased the service life of our materials. Untreated titanium felt forms an electrically insulating oxide layer under high oxygen pressure, reducing electrochemical performance and affecting reaction efficiency. The platinum coating maintains the conductivity of the titanium mesh and extends the service life, solving the problem of oxygen-releasing electrodes for PEM water electrolysis by selecting platinum-coated titanium mesh/felt to replace the carbon-based gas diffusion layer.
Platinum-Plated Titanium Felt
The micrograph below shows sintered titanium fibers with a platinum coating. The Titanium Fiber Felt Coating on the outside of the foot protect the entire coating. This effect can be explained by the electric field distribution in the galvanic cell (the working electrode is located between and parallel to the two opposite electrodes).
