PEM water electrolysis is a promising technology for energy storage coupled with renewable energy sources. PEM electrolyzer system produced by Hycircle Technology Co., Ltd employs high performance membrane electrode components and optimized electrolytic cell structure design in terms of technology, which have higher proton conductivity and chemical stability to operate long- term stable harsh working environment.
This 1000 ML PEM electrolyzers system utilize Proton Exchange Membrane as solid electrolyte to split water. In this process, water molecules undergo oxidation reactions on the anode side, losing electrons and generating oxygen and protons (H+). Subsequently, protons are conducted through the proton exchange membrane to the cathode side under the action of an electric field, while electrons flow from the anode to the cathode through an external circuit. On the cathode side, protons combine with electrons to undergo a reduction reaction, generating hydrogen gas. In this way, the PEM electrolysis cell completes the process of decomposing water into hydrogen and oxygen.


The following reactions take place within it:
• Anode: 2H2O → 4H+ + O2 + 4e-
• Cathode: 4H+ + 4e- → 2H2
• Complete Reaction: 2H2O → 2H2 + O2

Tank body

This is the main part of an electrolytic cell, used to hold electrolyte and perform electrochemical reactions.

Anode and Cathode

Located at both ends of the electrolytic cell, they are the main sites for electrochemical reactions. On these electrodes, water molecules decompose into hydrogen and oxygen under the action of direct current.

Diaphragm

Usually used between the anode and cathode chambers to prevent direct contact between the two electrolytes and ensure smooth current flow.

Auxiliary systems

Including modules such as power conversion, water circulation, gas separation, and gas purification, all of which work together to support the normal operation of the electrolytic cell.
